Crying Out Love, In The Center Of The World is one of my favorite dramas. With these movie basing on the same book as the drama, I had a lot of expectations. Also, the fact that Nagasawa Masami and Shibasaki Kou are starring in it is definitely another plus.

The drama version was nearly flawless. It was so depressingly beautiful, but I thought maybe a movie version would be better as the pacing would be faster due to it being only an hour compared to the drama version which lasted around 12 episodes. Well was I wrong. It was just plain boring. Although a lot shorter the pacing was as slow(or maybe even slower) than the drama version. Slow pace = boring. Some movies can be boring but touching right? Well to put it plainly, this one just didn't hit it for me. Not much chemistry between the main characters. The cinematography, although maybe better, is not too far from the drama version.

To sum it up, just watch the drama version and skip this one.
